:The red line denotes pump fuel runs, however, I accidentally put the wrong pull down. In run #3 it was at 18psi, however, in run #4 it was at 20psi on 93 octane pump fuel and it made 426HP and ~423ft/lbs TQ. A/F was 11.2:1
:The blue line inidicates the race fuel run which was performed on VP110 fuel at 25psi and at 11.5:1 A/F. It produced a somewhat peaky 505RWHP/503RWTQ and then the stock intercoolers caught up to the system and limited power production above ~5500RPM. Given adequate intercooling, I feel that these turbos will continue to produce power well into the 530RWHP range and over a broader range of RPM. In addition, using our Z1 custom cams it would have easily added another 50RWHP to the scenario based on previous experience with adding cams to the exact same car and that being the only change (we saw 43HP gained at the wheels by swapping out stock 5 speed cams to our custom camshafts).
:When I assembled my engine with these turbos, I took advantage of the EGR port on the driver's manifold and tapped a stainless steel tube into it for monitoring exhaust manifold pressure - interesting info indeed!. I also datalogged EGTs (both pre and post turbo) using the ZEMulator and both race fuel and pump fuel runs were operating at ~830C.
:Overall, I am very happy with these turbos. For the money you just cant beat them. They also have excellent spoolup characteristics and it was reaching into full boost (25psi) at ~3900RPM. It was hitting 20psi in the 3500RPM range. They also are showing VERY impressive torque figures which match horsepower almost identially (peak values).
:My next move is either to some namebrand sidemount intercoolers (for showing #'s based on a production intercooler setup), and then I will likely get my S14 intercoolers out and make a FMIC using those and two other stock sidemount ICs. I'm looking forward to seeing ~530RWHP and similar torque figures to go with it.
:These turbos will be available here at Z1 Motorsports with oil lines, gaskets, and flange adapters to make this a direct bolt-on turbo upgrade. Price will be $2050 and you can find more details about them here on our site:
